SPILL IT - After the Rhine
CityBeat Dec. 11, 1997
By Mike Breen

On Quiver, Ric Hordinski's first CD since leaving popular local group Over the Rhine, the guitarist brings his role in that band to the forefront, creating a spacious, rich and textural collection. But with his Monk project, Hordinski also proves his craftiness as a Pop singer and songwriter. . .

Quiver features a respectable stable of backing musicians, including nationally recognized singer/songwriter David Wilcox and local drummers Chris Glen (Plow on Boy) and Brian Kelley (Over the Rhine), all of whom aid Hordinski in utilizing the space within each song efficiently . . . The tracks which spotlight Hordinski's guitar playing are the most intriguing, exhibiting a celestial soulfulness that is often hypnotic and always captivating.
