Plow On Boy

Following the too-brief EP Broken from last year, Plow On
Boy are making another move to getting the national attention that practically
everyone in Cincy thinks they deserve. On Saturday at Bogart's, the quartet
will officially release the nine-track CD Go-Round, produced by Over the
Rhine's Ric Hordinski. Plow On Boy take listeners high with their hypnotic
sway, made all the more impressive by the stark naked quality of the music.
Rarely does a band pull off such a celestial vibe with such an organic base.
There isn't a whole lot of diversity from track to track, but Go Round is
still impacting, due largely to the almost telekinetic way the band - drummer
Chris Glen, guitarist Toby, and bassist Mike Georgin - play off of each
other and singer Niki Buehric's guiding unique vocals . . |
